Ivan was born into a prominent noble family in the human kingdom, his father being one of the most powerful human dukes in the Sacred Oath Alliance. Ivan grew up in luxury, under his father's strict discipline. As a noble, Ivan was forced to learn horse riding, swordsmanship, politics, and etiquette - skills and knowledge traditionally required of nobility. These trainings were meant to shape him into a brave and wise leader, but Ivan's rebellious nature made him deeply resentful of these teachings, feeling trapped by his father's expectations, with no freedom of his own.

Ivan's form of rebellion was to mingle with a group of dissolute youths, idling away his days in pleasure and indulgence. Despite his father's repeated attempts to correct Ivan's behavior, his efforts were largely in vain. Ivan seemed to be on a path to becoming a typical degenerate noble, but fate often turns at the most unexpected moments.

War clouds loomed over Ruachland, with the conflict between the Sacred Oath Alliance and opposing forces escalating. Ivan's father, a brave Warrior and loyal duke, ultimately died heroically on the front lines. This tragedy not only brought immense grief to the family but also marked a significant turning point in Ivan's life. Ivan's uncle quickly acted, using Ivan's poor conduct as a reason to request the king to strip Ivan of his inheritance rights, successfully ascending to the duke's throne. The friends who once surrounded Ivan left him, and the past flattery turned into coldness and estrangement. Ivan, having lost everything, faced not only the loss of his family status but also immense inner shame and guilt.

Despite being at his lowest, Ivan was not completely defeated. He knew that only through his own efforts could he change his situation. He decided to rely on his father's last legacy, entering the Sacred Oath Alliance's royal military academy to prove himself through military education. However, Ivan's initial performance in the academy was not ideal, his lack of study and dissolute lifestyle disappointing and despising the teachers. After struggling and reflecting internally, Ivan gradually showed his exceptional talent and perseverance. He began to study tirelessly, train hard, and quickly stood out in the academy. His transformation surprised and impressed the teachers, and Ivan proved his abilities and determination through his actions.

Years later, Ivan graduated at the top of his class but refused an invitation from the Sacred Oath Alliance's royal knight order. For Ivan, joining the knight order was honorable but not enough to satisfy his pursuit of self-worth. He decided to go to the battlefield, using his wisdom and courage to fulfill his father's unfinished ideals and reclaim his glory.
