The story of Pennon and Battle is set in an ancient land called Ruachland. Various races have established their own realms on this fertile continent. The Elven Empire was once the sole ruler of Ruachland, but it declined due to internal strife and division at its peak. Eventually, it disintegrated following a catastrophic explosion caused by the Elves' research into source power. The remaining Elves, though still elegant, yearn for their former glory.

Elves revere Mother Nature. As the early world rulers of the new era, they were proud and confident, establishing a great civilization with high achievements in technology, magic, and arts. However, these are things of the past. Since the mysterious cataclysm, Elven civilization has taken a different path. During the era of conquest, Elves experienced displacement and foreign invasions, becoming cautious and united. They will resolutely fight against nature's enemies until a new Emerald Emperor is chosen. Now, Elves ally with natural creatures, maintaining their nobility, elegance, closeness to nature, and love for magic and archery. Their cities blend with nature. The chapter of Elven revival has begun, and they will restore the empire's former glory.

The cataclysm wiped out most of the Elves' population. To maintain order, the remaining Elves had to ally with natural forces. The Giant Bear and Treant tribes became the backbone of the Elven troops, and the powerful dragons, due to ancient pacts, also became the strongest force in the Elven troops. Elven Empire soldiers possess strong combat abilities, and thanks to the magical powers of the Tree of Life, they can heal and recover during battles, giving them an advantage from the start. Elven Empire heroes have unparalleled achievements in the field of magic, founding many famous magic organizations, making their magic heroes stand out among various factions.
